Spring has been a season of new beginnings at RubyCats, and that couldn’t be more true for our feline friends. Since opening our doors in January 2025, we’ve had the joy of caring for dozens of cats, helping each of them on their journey toward a loving home. This spring, we reached a major milestone: every one of our original Opening Day residents has been adopted into their very own furever families!
Two of our longest-tenured kitties, Oreo and Sarah, stole hearts from the start. Oreo, with her signature markings and sweet demeanor, finally found her happily ever after in April. Her sendoff was bittersweet, but we knew she was heading into a life of love and comfort.
That left just one: Princess Sarah, the reigning queen of RubyCats. Sarah captured the hearts of visitors and staff alike with her charming personality and adorable face. In early May, we were overjoyed to announce: Sarah was adopted! Her royal reign at RubyCats may have ended, but her new chapter is just beginning, and we couldn’t be more thrilled for her.

But the good news doesn’t stop there. This spring, we also celebrated the adoptions of:
Sugar and Sparky, adopted together into the same home – best friends fur-ever!
Mocha (formerly Lauren), who returned briefly to the café but quickly found a new home where she’s thriving.
Viola, our playful sweetheart, now enjoying life with a loving new family.
Ellie, who blossomed from a timid girl into one of our sweetest cats and found a home that sees her for the gem she is.
Lulu, our spicy Tortie who made a fast impression and quickly found her match.
All three of our black kittens (Nora, Robin and Zsasz) are now happily adopted.
Jimmy was also adopted! When he came to us, he was a tad spicy, and we were not even sure if he would have a place in the cat café. But with a little time and patience, Jimmy proved himself to be a sweet little gentlemen. We will miss his cute little face!
Plus, a sweet update from Tina’s adopters: She’s thriving and proving herself to be just as wonderful as we knew she would be.

These stories truly capture what RubyCats is all about: creating a calm, joyful space for cats and people to connect, and giving our feline guests the time and care they need to find their perfect match.
Thank you to everyone who has visited, supported and shared the love this spring. We’re so excited to see what the summer holds.
Come hang out with our current residents who are still waiting for their furever homes. They’d love to meet you!
